Hello Fellow Pumpers!
We look forward to seeing you in person if you are in the San Diego area or via Zoom.
We hold our meetings on the 2nd Monday of every month from 7–9 pm.
We have transitioned from our old blog to this website (sdinsulinpumpers.org). The monthly newsletter and meeting Zoom link are posted by the 6th of each month.
IN PERSON: We hold our in-person meeting at the Sharp Spectrum Building in Kearny Mesa at 8695 Spectrum Center Drive from 7–9 pm. We have a new meeting space at the Sharp Spectrum building. Starting in January 2025 we moved to a new boardroom. It is on the left side of the main lobby and has an outside direct entrance from the parking lot. The room will open at 6:30 pm for visiting before the meeting. The walkway to the outside entrance is in front of the handicap parking and has a railing along the sidewalk.
VIA ZOOM: Please join us via Zoom if you can’t attend in person. The meeting link is posted below. As always, significant others, friends, and family supporters are welcome at the meeting.
This Month: Lola Gugerty, Shaughnessy Comstock and Ceseana Marzouk will give us the latest updates on Dexcom Sensors. They will review the new now-available G7 15-day sensor and will bring some sensor samples to share. Bring your questions! We will have Open Discussion if time permits after the presentation.
Last Month: North County rep Rebecca Ponchetti and San Diego reps Kerri Orr and Elise Edwards gave us the latest updates on Tandem pumps. The t:slim pump now partners with the Libre 3 sensor; the Mobi pump now partners with Android phones. Download the latest Tandem software update to access Control IQ +. If you need help with downloading, see the announcement below for our special Tandem Pumps Software Update Event.
Tandem pumps are now available for Type 2 users. Lyumjev fast-acting insulin is now approved for use in Tandem pumps. For pumpers with commercial insurance, Tandem supplies are now available through pharmacy benefits. The Sugarmate App is available with the t:slim pump but not with the Mobi pump.

Grownup T1Ds
Check out website grownupt1ds.org for events in So Cal, Denver, Atlanta, New York and Boston. The Grownup T1Ds in-person meetups are for adults living with type 1 diabetes. These afternoons are relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely uplifting – the kind where conversations flow easily, laughter comes quickly, and you leave feeling lighter than when you arrived. No agenda. No presentations. Just real connection with people who truly understand life with T1D.
Someone once told Kelly they were nervous walking into their first Grownup T1Ds meetup. They stepped into a sports bar, looked around… and saw robot parts everywhere. And just like that, they knew they were in the right place! And yes… the beeps, buzzes, and alarms are completely welcome.
Next So Cal event will be in July so check to website.

Connected in Motion
SoCal Slipstream 2026 is an adult T1D “summer camp” weekend being held this year on October 16-18. This one is local, at a campground in Imperial Beach. Similar to the ONE Conference, they have lots of talks, lots of activity, and lots of camaraderie, but with camp cabins instead of hotel rooms. They provide a fun, educational, and relaxing weekend conquering T1.
